AEB REVIEW: BERTA BRIDAL 2017 LAUNCH

Firstly I have to admit that although I work within the wedding & event industry I personally have not planned a single aspect of my future wedding.  I do not know where, I do not know when, I don't even know who too (#single) but I do know I will be wearing a Berta wedding gown.

Berta Bridal is the beautiful creation of Israeli designeR BERTA BALILTI and when the opportunity came to attend the Berta Bridal 2017 European Launch at the Savoy there was no way I was missing out. The Savoy Hotel in London has always been one of my #GOALS and I finally had an actual reason to walk up that exclusive path and through those famous doors.

The Launch was coordinated by The Wedding Club London (who are also the UK's exclusive retailers of Berta Bridal). It was held in the ballroom of the Savoy which on it's own is a masterpieces. My first steps into the room and I truly had my 'Disney princess' moment.

The room was beautifully laid out as if we were guests attending an actual wedding. Tables were adorned with Gold branches and extra large bird cages with white floral features. Courtesy of In Water Flowers who were on hand to display their other work. Along with luxury wedding cake supplier GC Couture, who gifted every one with delicious treats and cupcakes. Freya Rose brought a beautiful collection of her innovative shoes. Two Birds also put in an appearance with their trend setting multiway dresses.

My heart skipped a beat once I laid my eyes upon Terry Terry and his sparkling pieces of creation. (Much more PURSE friendly than I had thought). The wedding Club even invited Clements & Church a custom made suit artisan ensuring that there was something for the men in attendance too.

So after a glass of champagne and a peak into the delightful gift bag placed at every seat. The man himself Bruce Russell introduced the event, welcoming all the press, bride-to-bes and industry professionals. Then the show began, and what a show it was... Filled with plunging necklines, daring slits, capes (that any superhero would be jealous of) and of course all the sparkle a girl could ever want.

As a young black woman I have to applaud Berta Bridal and The wedding club on their inclusion of Models of Colour.  Not only did this highlight the beauty of the dresses on different complexions, but it gave brides in the audience a chance to truly picture just how they could look on their big day.

My ultimate favourite look of the night had to be this one. Not only was the model breath taking but it was evident the artistry that had gone into the design and creation of this show stopping piece.

OVERALL IT WAS AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE. IM SO DELIGHTED TO HAVE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO ATTEND AND I'M ALREADY ANTICIPATING THE BERTA EVENING WEAR LAUNCH IN FEBRUARY!!
